Broccoli TV - almost free lunch

broccolitv

"There is no such thing as a free lunch", but sometimes nearly.TVU network support the BroccoliTV station broadcasting streamed 1980s music videos and movies 24/7, so for fun a homebrewed VB2008 viewer put here.If not already installed the application will download and update Windows with the .NET 3.5 framework from Microsoft (Win7 comes with it). When running the app. for the first time it will ask for a TVU networks plugin displaying commercials for some seconds before streaming starts (just ignore them).I have found Windows Firewall a few times will ask to open up for the commercials using ports 16694, 5366 and 8901, without finding any problems after unblocking. The app. will install in programs menu under BroccoliTV and uninstall from Control Panel.A fine channel for an early Friday night. Edit: Things evolve.Going to BroccoliTV website and doubleclicking will give full screen.Adding the website to trusted in browsers security settings prevent annoying ActiveX messages from the updated TVU advertisement plugin. My experimental full screen viewer still available.
